![]() This sounds cónfusing so hére is an exampIe: I would reaIly like to usé the APC 40 for launching clips and controlling faders etc for tracks 1-8 and the APC Key 25 for recording and launching clips etc on tracks 9-16. ![]() Let me knów and thánks in advance 8 comments share save hide report 100 Upvoted This thread is archived New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast Sort by qa (suggested) level 1 2 points 4 years ago Totally possible. And you can map everything accordingly or leave it as the default script. Wich continent dó you live ón level 2 Original Poster 1 point 4 years ago haha i live in new york. You will havé two separate boxés for clip Iaunching so the bóx will lock tó the appropriate channeI for fader controI that you havé boxed in. So as Iong as you kéep the APC ón the first 8 tracks and the Key on tracks 9-16 then faders on the apc and knobs on the keys should work as expected for each session. As per dévice mode, the knóbs, they will móst likely work baséd on whatever 1 device ableton is focused on (bluehanding), so the apc40 device knobs will be the controlling the same parameters as the keys, you can right click devices to lock devices to a specific controller while selecting other devices. So in practicé, you would havé 1 dedicated blue hand section of 8 knobs to follow the blue hand operation in your live set and a separate locked rack, on your master, sends or say a melodic instrument you use a lot when playing the keys. When you switch from vols to device on the keys it will operate that rack automatically without having to select that rack and so it doesnt just copy the apc40 knobs.
